All About Me
I am a Bengali American woman with a deep passion for supporting mental health and well-being in diverse communities. I received my BA in Psychology from The City College of New York and I am currently pursuing my MSEd in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. My approach to counseling is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and cultural humility. I am eager to collaborate with clients from diverse backgrounds, meeting them where they are and tailoring our work to their unique experiences and goals. Additionally, I am passionate about creating inclusive spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new cuisines, engaging in creative writing, and traveling to learn about different cultures.
My journey into counseling stems from a deep desire to help individuals navigate life’s challenges, especially those in communities of color who often face systemic barriers to mental health support. Outside of my studies, I enjoy writing, exploring new cultures through travel, and spending time in nature. I also find peace in mindfulness practices like journaling and meditation, which inspire my commitment to personal and professional growth.
