Mentalization Based Treatment

Mentalization is a state of mind where we can think clearly and coherently while also feeling our emotions and physical responses to those emotions.  Some of us tend to shut our emotions down or feel we are not at all in control of them, limiting our ability to mentalize throughout our daily lives.
Mentalization Based Treatment works to help you learn how to mentalize during sessions through psychodynamic discussions and sensorimotor observation.  As a client develops a greater ability to Mentalize during sessions they also learn to expand this practice into the rest of their lives.
