Group Description:
Healthy Living: A DBT-based skills group for individuals hoping to reduce self-harm in daily life
This DBT-based in-person group not only focuses on reducing self-harming behaviors - including all types of eating disorders, addictions, cutting, or any behavioral patterns interfering with the potential to live life with a measure of effectiveness--but is also particularly appropriate for individuals seeking to navigate chronic interpersonal difficulties that have served as impediments to happiness and success. Each week focuses on an essential DBT skill, and group members are asked to share interpersonal experiences and practice learned skills in between sessions to implement these techniques into their daily living. This group has been helpful for those who are new to DBT, as well as those who are looking for a refresher course.
