All About Me
I am a graduate student pursuing a degree in mental health counseling at Yeshiva University. I aim to create a space where clients feel seen, heard, and genuinely understood. My goal is for clients to feel safe enough to share openly without fear of judgment. I value a person centered approach and believe that clients are the experts on their own lives. With this in mind, I strive to show up with authenticity, offer unconditional positive regard, and meet each client with empathy, while supporting them as they build the skills and tools needed for continued growth.
My interest in the helping profession was sparked during my time in a gap year program, where I supported students as they navigated interpersonal, academic, and emotional challenges. Through that experience, I came to deeply understand how important it is for individuals to feel respected and truly heard. I have had the privilege of supporting students facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, suicidality, eating disorders, and insomnia.
I am originally from sunny Los Angeles and enjoy spending time outdoors, especially hiking and going to the beach. In my free time, I like surfing, running, and cooking. These activities help me stay grounded, present, and connected, qualities I also bring into my clinical work.
