All About Me
Hello! I am a current graduate student at Queens College, pursing a degree in Mental Health Counseling. After receiving my undergraduate degree in psychology, I took years off to pursue travel and try out different life paths. After moving to New York I worked in advertising before switching careers to Mental Health. People and community have always been my priority, and I realized I wanted to work directly with people and create a space to be able to help process emotions and build community.
I have experience volunteering with RAINN on the national sexual assault hotline, working with survivors of sexual assault. I also have direct clinical experience working with adolescents and adults, helping them navigate anxiety, depression, identity issues, and more. My approach is integrative, with a focus on person-centered therapy and a skills approach that focuses on CBT and DBT interventions. I also work through a somatic lens, reconnecting the mind and body through incorporating mindfulness techniques. As every client has different needs and relational styles, I will work closely to customize the best individualized approach. I believe creating a safe and nurturing space is the foundation of a positive therapeutic relationship and hope all my clients feel comfortable sharing feedback and needs in session.
I am originally from Seattle, but have been living in Queens for the past 5 years. In my free time I love spending time with my 2 cats, getting outside, and seeing live music.
