All About Me
Starting therapy can be a challenging step, especially when seeking a therapist who genuinely understands your unique experiences and challenges. Recognizing this, I am deeply committed to empathizing with my clients and understanding their backgrounds to provide the most effective support.
I am a second-year Mental Health Counseling student at Fordham University, with a Bachelor’s degree in
Psychology from Newcastle University, U.K. My journey into counseling has been profoundly shaped by my experiences as a queer, South-Asian immigrant, inspiring my passion towards understanding each client’s identity and how it affects their mental health.
I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self and feel truly heard. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the core of my practice. I strive to be your ally, empowering you to explore your thoughts and emotions freely, without the burden of putting on a facade. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based techniques.
